Elden Ring should be the first title for all FromSoftware newcomers

It has been a few months Fire Ring, with game-breaking records last held by Grand Theft Auto 5. Since the latter is the most profitable entertainment product of all time, it’s an impressive feat, and many who want to play it probably already have. However, it’s likely that there are still some on the fence, and of course players who are just now starting to get into the medium.

When someone begins their journey into FromSoftware’s catalog above souls game, there are many choices. Demon’s souls that’s where it all started, Dark souls is the most associated title, Bloodborne is incredibly popular, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice changes the whole approach. Elden Ring is the most approachable FromSoftware title

Aside from the difficulties associated with the genre, there are many things to appreciate about every Souls game. Where Fire Ring stands out the most is its approach to the genre. Taking the FromSoftware open-world formula really makes the games more accessible, as players can simply travel elsewhere if they’re having trouble. This isn’t possible in many other Souls games, or at least it’s not as convenient. For example, many first time Fire Ring players struggle with Margit the Fell Omen as the game guides them to him, but they can simply explore the southern areas of Fire Ring to level up and return to Margit.

It is necessary to make a solid Fire Ring build and define their personal play style within the game’s inherent difficulty level, but the game gives players some freedom to achieve this. This freedom goes a long way Fire Ring a personal journey, something few other games did. Yes, it is possible to build any of the FromSoftware Souls games and figure out what is best for a player, but not that easy.

FromSoftware’s Souls catalog is perhaps one of the most valuable in gaming. Anyone who has not yet gone down these lanes is also encouraged, and the order is important. While some may choose to go by release order or by which game they get their hands on first, there is a certain skill that is transferable between these games. That skill is best developed in the open world of Fire Ring.

Fire Ring is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
